Membership

The Committee for Greater Hobart is an independent, community focused and member-funded organisation that is seeking to create a safe, engaging and trusted space where we can challenge our presumptions, widen our perspectives and open possibilities to realise the long-term social, environmental and economic potential of Greater Hobart.

Foundation members

These larger organisations and Government agencies are supporting the Committee to continue its work, not only through their financial commitment but their input and attendance at Leaders’ events and forums.

They also provide sponsorship and partnership opportunities for the Committee to engage with thought leaders who give a national and international context to the work in our region.

Foundation memberhips are $50,000 for three years.

Inaugural foundation members

The Committee has gathered a diverse group of organisations and leaders from across the region to make a financial, organisational and personal commitment to establishing the Committee and sponsoring its initial work.

These Inaugural Foundation Members have been recognised and acknowledged for their commitment to this work as part of our membership structure.

Corporate members

Larger companies and Government agencies can support the Committee and engage with our work through Corporate Membership.

Corporate Memberships are $10,000 per annum.

Enterprise members

Small and medium-sized organisations and local governments can participate in the work of the Committee through Enterprise Membership.

Enterprise Memberships are $5,000 per annum.

Individual members/Friends of the Committee

The Committee understands that to be successful we need to be able to listen and understand the needs of our community more broadly. We also know that people across our community will have specific interests and needs that come from roles they take on in the community that may be in addition to their work and family responsibilities. To provide people from across our community with the opportunity to be informed by and engaged with the work of the Committee, we will also be offering individual memberships as friends and affiliates of the Committee. In this case we do not expect that people will have to make a direct financial contribution but we will be seeking engagement and contribution to our work through participation in research and events in the years ahead.
